The British GT Championship returns to Snetterton this weekend with a total of 28 cars on the provisional entry list, as the Norfolk circuit assumes an earlier-than-usual slot in the British GT schedule.

ENTRY LIST: Snetterton

Rounds 4 and 5 will be held at Snetterton four weeks after the series raced on the banked roval at Rockingham.

This year the event at the three-mile Snetterton circuit has had its date moved forward from its traditional August timeslot to fall on the UK’s Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

The major story heading into the event is the absence of Century Motorsport’s two Ginetta G55 GT3s, following the departure of Harry Gottsacker and Parker Chase from the series.

This leaves the GT3 class at ten entries, although the championship battle continues with just 8.5 points separating Oulton Park double winners Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen from Rockingham victors Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt.

Eighteen cars are listed in GT4, with no entry changes from Rockingham, only a few lineup alterations.

With Mike Simpson racing in the VdeV Series at Paul Ricard, Team Manager Nathan Freke steps into the No. 111 Century Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4 to partner Anna Walewska.

Mike Newbould and Michael Caine return to Team HARD’s No. 36 Autoaid/RCIB Insurance Racing Ginetta meanwhile, having both missed the Rockingham race with Newbould injured.

Stuart Middleton and Will Tregurtha took home the GT4 class win last time out, propelling the HHC Motorsport rookies into the championship lead.

They sit 15 points clear of defending champions Mike Robinson and Graham Johnson, however.

Free Practice and Qualifying will take place on Saturday, followed by two 60-minute races on Sunday, which will be streamed live on the series’ Facebook page and GT World YouTube channel.
