SRO America will return to the streets of Long Beach next year, with GT America powered by AWS confirmed as part of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend.

The single-driver GT series, comprised of GT3, GT2 and GT4 machinery, is expected to feature a pair of 40-minute races during the April 19-21 weekend.

“This will be an exciting addition to our weekend race lineup in 2024,” said Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President & CEO Jim Michaelian.

“GT America brings a very competitive series with well-known marques that our fans are sure to recognize. It rounds out a diverse slate of racing that is sure to keep everybody at the edge of their seats all weekend.”

The addition of GT America to Long Beach is believed to serve as a replacement for Nashville, which is facing reduced paddock space due to its circuit revision for 2024.

The series also raced at St. Petersburg, in support of the NTT IndyCar Series, this year.

“World Challenge has enjoyed a storied history on the Streets of Long Beach and we are excited to bring back GT sprint racing with GT America powered by AWS to Southern California,” said SRO America President & CEO Greg Gill.

“The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is a bucket-list event and our teams and drivers enjoy the challenge of its street course.”

A full revised 2024 SRO America schedule is expected to be released in the coming days.
