BimmerWorld will field a pair of BMW M4 GT4s in Pirelli GT4 America this year, while electing to forgo an entry in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS.

The championship-winning team will be seeking it third consecutive Am class championship with James Clay and Charlie Postings in the No. 36 BMW entry.

James Walker Jr. meanwhile, will embark on his fifth season with the team, again teaming up with Tyler McQuarrie in the No. 82 machine.

“Charlie and I really enjoyed the 2023 season,” said Clay. “We had a new car to adapt to, both as drivers and as a team, and the field’s size and competitiveness grew, making it a challenging but also extremely enjoyable and rewarding year.

“We have a ton of fun at the track together, and certainly, winning a second championship makes racing even more enjoyable. But we’re both eager to attempt a third consecutive championship – and have an amazing time doing it with our friends.”

Clay added: “In 2023, the duo of James and Tyler was formidable, just a single point shy of clinching the championship they led for much of the season. The chemistry between these guys as a driver pair is great, and they are both an amazing part of the BimmerWorld team.

“We would all rather be defending the 2023 Pro-Am championship this year, but I think the desire is even higher in 2024 to capture the crown that eluded us last season.”

BimmerWorld will not be competing in GT3 competition this year after having fielded a BMW M4 GT3 for Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull in Fanatec GT competition last year.

“”Our core BimmerWorld business is supplying parts for BMW road cars,” Clay said. “This includes learning, designing, and testing our parts and our packages in a variety of environments, and most visibly on the racetrack.

“We enjoyed the challenge of our GT3 program and working with a pure race car, but it didn’t support our core racing goal.”

Samantha Tan Racing and Turner Motorsport are expected to be among the BMW teams represented in Fanatec GT competition this year.
