Newly crowned Pirelli GT4 America Sprint champion Michael Cooper has claimed a sweep of the weekend at Circuit of The Americas, taking victory in Race 3 on Sunday.

Cooper held off a hard-charging Drew Staveley for his 11th win of the season in the No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop McLaren 570S GT4.

It came after a late-race caution and restart that set up a ten-minute shootout to the finish that saw Staveley, in the No. 12 Ian Lacy Racing Ford Mustang GT4, put pressure on the McLaren Automotive factory driver.

However, Cooper managed to finish 0.609 seconds ahead of Staveley for the win.

After missing Saturday’s races due to family commitments, Michael Dinan returned to victory lane with Am class honors in his No. 210 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Dinan enjoyed an intense three-way battle for the class lead early in the 50-minute race, with the No. 91 Rearden Racing Aston of Jeff Burton first spinning and dropping out of contention.

Ten minutes later, teammate Paul Terry had a similar spin, giving clear sailing to Dinan.

Terry rebounded to finish second in class with Blackdog team owner/driver Tony Gaples completing the Am class podium in third.
