Riley Dickinson led the way in the first Pirelli GT4 America practice session at Barber Motorsports Park ahead of this weekend’s triple-header.
Dickinson, in the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, laid down a best lap of 1:28.906 in Thursday afternoon’s 45-minute session to edge out fellow Pro-Am class competitor Matheus Leist in the No. 23 Nolasport Porsche by 0337 seconds.
The No. 3 JMF Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo of Jonathan Neudorf and Jesse Webb was third quickest overall and fastest in the Silver class, while the pair of Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 EVOs completed the overall top-five, led by the team’s Pro-Am class No. 94 entry.
Random Vandals, meanwhile, led the Am class with its No. 98 BMW of Darius Trinka, who set the 14th quickest time.
Practice 2 for GT4 America competitors is on tap for Friday at 11:10 a.m. CST, ahead of the Road America Race 1 Make-Up at 3:35 p.m., which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
RESULTS: Practice 1
