Flying Lizard Porsche GT4 Goes Clear in Practice 2

Flying Lizard Motorsports driver Robby Foley set the fastest lap of Friday’s second practice session for the Pirelli GT4 America SprintX weekend at Circuit of the Americas.

Foley, driving the No. 21 Flying Lizard Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport, posted a time of 2:17.661 to lead the second session, however Jason Bell’s morning marker held out as the day’s best.

Foley will share driving duties in this weekend’s pair of races with Michael Dinan.

Matt Travis went second-quickest in the No. 47  Nolasport Porsche, half a second back on Flying Lizard and the same margin ahead of Christian Szymczak in the Murillo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4.

Szymczak ended up as the best-placed Pirelli GT4 America East driver after narrowly out-pacing Alan Brynjolfsson in the Park Place Motorsports Porsche.

Quickest in the West bracket was the No. 91 Rearden Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 of Jeff Burton and Vosko Kozarov which placed 10th overall.

Qualifying for the Pirelli GT4 America field takes place tomorrow at 9 a.m. local time (10 a.m. ET).
