Parker Thompson swept qualifying for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America rounds at Virginia International Raceway.

The driver of the No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO claimed poles in Q1 and Q2 for the pair of 60-minute races, with regular co-driver Daniel Hanley ruled out following an accident on Friday.

Thompson and the team received force majeure from stewards to drive solo for the remainder of the weekend.

He recorded a best lap in Q1 of 1:588 in the first session to edge out the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Zac Anderson by 0.558 seconds.

In Q2, Thompson’s 1:52.479 lap time was just 0.008 seconds faster than Kenton Koch in the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW.

John Capestro Dubets qualified third in the No. 51 Auto Technic BMW for Race 2, meanwhile.

Pro-Am qualifying class honors went to BimmerWorld’s James Walker Jr. and Tyler McQuarrie, while teammates Charlie Postins and James Clay, meanwhile, took top qualifying honors in the Am category for both races as well.

The first race of the weekend gets underway at 5 p.m. EDT, with Race 2 set for Sunday at 10:55 a.m., both of which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.

RESULTS: Qualifying 1/Qualifying 2
