Johnson, Bach in Racers Edge Aston Martin for Road America

Billy Johnson and Christian Bach will join Racers Edge Motorsports for the upcoming Pirelli GT4 America round at Road America, co-driving the team’s Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo.

The duo will contest for Pro-Am class honors on the Aug. 28-30 event, which will mark the debut of new title sponsor Egress Mobility Platforms as the company unveils its first prototype machine.

“I’m really excited to be driving with Christian Bach and Racers Edge Motorsports at Road America,” said Johnson. “I’ve raced against this team for many years and its great to finally be driving for them.

“I was Christian’s teammate for a few races in the past and I’m looking forward to co-driving with him. I’m happy to be back in the SRO paddock with this great team effort and anticipate a solid weekend at the track.”

While Johnson is tied for most all-time wins in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition, up-and-coming racer Bach has progressed through sports car racing ranks, advancing from NASA American Iron competition into Pilot Challenge.

“It’s great to be back racing,” said Bach. “This weekend is a new challenge with my first time in the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and my SRO debut.

“I’ve been on the same team as Billy Johnson in the past, so it’s great to finally share a car with him.

“He brings a ton of experience, and I’m looking forward to learning from him while working together throughout the weekend. The goal is to get up
to speed quickly, execute a clean weekend, and put ourselves in position for a strong result.”
