Marco Polo Motorsports will return to Pirelli GT4 America competition this year, with Nicolai Elghanayan and Reiter Engineering factory driver Mads Siljehaug set for a SprintX campaign with their KTM X-Bow GT4, which has been upgraded to Evo spec.
The Muellerized-managed team was forced out of the second half of the GT4 Sprint championship last year after an off-track shoulder injury for Elghanayan ruled him out of the cockpit.
Elghanayan has since been given clearance to race again and will take on the two-driver format for the first time in SRO America competition.
“I’m happy we’re able to finally announce that Mads Siljehaug and I will be teaming up to compete in GT4 America SprintX for 2020,” said Elghanayan.
“Mads and I drove together at the Zandvoort GT4 Europe race and we really hit it off landing the first podium for the team that year.”
Siljehaug, who won the ADAC Germany GT4 championship last year, is set for his debut on North American soil.
“This opportunity is a milestone for my carrier,” he said.
“I am honored to get this chance and trust from Marco Polo Motorsports, and I’m highly motivated to give my best on and off track with the goal of bringing the championship to the team.
“This chance would never happen without my fabulous team, Reiter Engineering.
“I will use all my knowledge and experience to make this season the strongest one I have entered.”
