A bumper grid of 32 cars are set for this weekend’s pair of Pirelli GT4 America races at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, in SRO America’s return to the venue for the first time in 15 years.
The entry list for the sixth and seventh rounds of the season sees several new and returning entries, most notably the debut of Bryan Herta Autosport into the series as well as a second McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang GT4.
Mason Filippi and Alessandro Chiocchetti will team up in BHA’s new McLaren Artura GT4 in the Pro-Am class, in a parallel program for the team, which is also contesting the SRO America-run McLaren Trophy America for the first time this weekend.
MMR’s second Mustang, meanwhile, will be driven by Mustang Challenge North America drivers Michael Tosi and Nolan Allaer, also in Pro-Am.
Stephen Cameron Racing’s partial season BMW M4 GT4 EVO entry for Jonathan Perichon and Gregory Liefooghe returns to action, alongside the No. 5 OGH Motorsports McLaren, which also missed the most recent event at Sebring International Raceway.
The No. 131 Advance Motorsports McLaren will see the return of Jonathan Neudorf as Austin Jurs’ co-driver. Neudorf initially put the car on overall pole for the opening round of the season before his time was thrown out due to a data recorder infraction.
Notably absent is RAFA Racing’s second Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, which debuted at Circuit of The Americas with Anthony Geraci and Kenny Schmied in the Am class.
RAFA’s Silver class pairing of Tyler Gonzalez and Westin Workman lost the championship lead to the RS1 duo of Spencer Pumpelly and Luca Mars following their sweep of the weekend at Sebring in their No. 028 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
The gap sits at 14 points entering this weekend’s pair of 60-minute races.
Random Vandals Racing’s Kenton Koch and Sam Craven, who also won both races on the Florida airfield circuit, lead the way in the Pro-Am points, with fellow BMW entrant BimmerWorld out front in the Am category with James Clay and James Walker Jr.
GT4 America competitors take to the 2.54-mile Road Atlanta circuit for the first time on Thursday, for a test and two practice sessions, with qualifying on tap for Friday morning.
Race 1 takes the green flag at 3:50 p.m. EST on Saturday, with Race 2 set for Sunday at 12:25 p.m. EST. Both races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
