The full-season entry list for the GT4 European Series has been released on Friday following the pre-season test day at Zolder, with a total of 47 cars set to tackle the new-look series.
ENTRY LIST: GT4 European Series
The series has received entry requests for over 70 cars but has placed a full-season cap at 47 based on the maximum numbers of cars allowed to race at Zolder and Brands Hatch.
The field is split into Silver Cup, Pro-Am and Am, although the total number of entrants per class is currently unknown with several teams yet to finalize their driver lineups.
Nine manufacturers are represented on the grid, including Chevrolet with its two Camaro GT4.Rs entered by V8 Racing.
2017 champion Ricardo van der Ende has moved to Equipe Verschuur to pilot one of its McLaren 570S GT4s although co-champion Max Koebolt is yet to be announced in the series this season.
The championship is in a new format with the Northern Cup and Southern Cup titles being scrapped after one season.
The main GT4 European Series is effectively made out of last season’s GT4 European Series Northern Cup with the Southern Cup becoming GT4 France alongside other regional series.
The six-event calendar will get underway in support of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Zolder on April 7-8.
