Caldarelli, Dickerson Take Road America Poles

K-PAX Lamborghini, Racers Edge Acura take poles for Road America weekend…

Andrea Caldarelli and Dakota Dickerson claimed poles for this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS races at Road America.

Caldarelli reeled off a best lap of 2:07.102 in Q1 to put the Pro class championship leading No. 3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo on the top spot for Race 1.

The Italian’s time was 0.392 seconds quicker than the No. 33 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Russell Ward, with Michael Dinan impressing with the third best time overall in the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3.

Giovanni Venturini was fourth in the sister K-PAX Lamborghini, followed by the Am class pole-sitting No. 61 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 of Conrad Grunewald, who qualified ahead of the entire Pro-Am field.

The No. 77 Compass Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo of Michael Di Meo took Pro-Am class pole honors with the sixth quickest time overall.

Di Meo edged out the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura of Taylor Hagler for top class qualifying honors.

Q2 saw the Pro-Am Racers Edge entry of Dakota Dickerson take pole with the quickest overall lap of qualifying at a 2:05.925.

It was 0.036 seconds quicker than the No. 20 Wright Motorsports Porsche of Jan Heylen, with Robby Foley third in the Turner BMW, who took Pro class pole honors.

John Megrue, meanwhile, was quickest of the Am class competitors in Q2 in his No. 10 TR3 Racing Lamborghini.
