AF Corse will compete in the new Gold Cup class of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup with a lineup involving Alessandro Balzan and Cedric Sbirrazzuoli.

Balzan, a two-time IMSA GTD champion, and fellow former WeatherTech Championship driver Sbirrazzuoli will team up with Bronze-rated competitor Hugo Delacour for the five long-distance races including the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa.

In addition, Sbirrazzuoli and Delacour are joining forces in the Sprint Cup series as Pro-Am teammates. The pair contested one-off Italian GT and International GT Open rounds last year.

The No. 21 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 will compete under the Team DLC One AF Corse banner.

Balzan is set for his first season of GT racing since the 2020 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup which he contested with Ferrari outfit Scuderia Corsa.

Sbirrazzuoli, meanwhile, entered a handful of GT3 races last year and last competed full-time in the 2019 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship.

Former Ferrari Challenge Europe racer Delacour is moving up to GT3 racing full-time off the back of his exploratory outings with Sbirrazzuoli in 2021.

AF Corse has two Ferraris signed up for the full GTWC Europe season, covering both the Endurance and Sprint Cups.
