Audi Unveils Stars and Stripes Liveries for California 8H

Audi has unveiled special liveries for its Audi R8 LMS GT3 cars competing in this weekend’s Intercontinental GT Challenge season-ending California 8 Hours.

The trio of factory-supported entries from Audi Sport Team WRT and Audi Sport Team Land are sporting stars and stripes designs, which when lined up, depict the American flag.

Both the Nos. 17 and 19 WRT entries predominantly feature blue with white stars, with the No. 29 Land entry of Kelvin van der Linde, Christopher Mies and Christopher Haase, sporting red-and-white stripes.

The German manufacturer enters Sunday’s race with a nine-point deficit to Mercedes-AMG in the manufacturers’ championship, with Haase and Markus Winkelhock, who will share driving duties of the No. 19 Audi with Dries Vanthoor and Robin Frijns, tied for second in the drivers’ title race.

Alex Riberas, Sheldon van der Linde and Stuart Leonard will share driving duties of the No. 17 WRT Audi, meanwhile.
