McLaren Trophy America is set to make its debut at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway this week for its pair of season-ending races, which will crown class champions.

A total of 14 McLaren Artura Trophy Evo cars are set to do battle over the course of the two 50-minute races at The Brickyard, which sees the single-make series back in action for the first time since August at Road America.

All three category titles remain up for grabs, with an equally tight fight in Pro and Pro-Am.

RWE Motorsport’s Casey Dennis and James Li, who swept the class weekends at Sonoma Raceway and Virginia International Raceway, hold a narrow 3.5-point lead over Cooper Broll and Tommy Pintos of Skip Barber Racing.

In Pro-Am, Motorsports In Action’s Alexandra Hainer and Jesse Lazare, also have a 3.5-point margin over RWE’s Andrew Davis and John Dempsey.

James Sofronas, meanwhile, has a 11.5-point lead in the Am standings over TechSport driver Colin Harrison, who took top class honors in Race 2 at Road America.

GMG Racing, which will again enter only a single Artura Trophy Evo this weekend for team owner/driver Sofronas, is on the verge of locking up the teams’ trophy, which takes into account all three classes of competition.

While the No. 17 Riley Motorsports McLaren of Tom Kopczynski and Eric Filgueiras will not be taking part this week, RAFA Racing Club will return with its entry with the new driving pairing of Keegan Massey and Michael Steeves.

Bob Stockard, meanwhile, will drive solo in the No. 56 Hooper Street Racing entry after being joined by his son, Robby, at Road America.

Cars will take to the track for the first time on Wednesday with a pair of practice sessions, followed by qualifying on Thursday morning and Race 1 of the weekend at 3:10 p.m. EST. Race 2 is scheduled for Friday at 1:40 p.m., with live coverage of both season-ending races on SRO’s GT World and McLaren Automotive’s YouTube channels.
