The No. 28 RS1 Porsche of Stevan McAleer and Eric Filgueiras has lost its second place finish in Race 2 of last weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race at NOLA Motorsports Park due to a post-race penalty.

Issued by SRO America on Wednesday, the Pro class Porsche has dropped from second to third in the race results because of an incident with Ashton Harrison that sent the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 into the gravel trap with 30 minutes to go.

Race stewards promptly announced that the incident would be reviewed post-race, with a final decision being made on Wednesday.

The RS1 Porsche was given a 44-second post-race time penalty, equivalent to a drive-through penalty, for incident responsibility.

It has promoted the No. 53 MDK Motorsports Porsche of Trenton Estep and Seth Lucas to a second place class finish.

CrowdStrike by Riley’s Colin Braun and George Kurtz won the race overall.
