Jade Buford led the way in Pirelli World Challenge GTS practice, topping both of Friday’s sessions at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in preparation for this weekend’s Sprint rounds.

Buford reeled off a 1:24.025 lap time in the No. 55 PF Racing Ford Mustang GT4 in the 40-minute afternoon session to better his pace-setting time from the first session by a fraction of a second.

His time was 0.016 seconds quicker than the No. 50 Panoz Avezzano GT4 of Ian James, who was second, followed by the pair of Robinson Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4s in third and fourth, led by Shane Lewis.

“It was a good day for us but Saturday looks like rain,” said Buford. “It’s an unusual scenario with the weather. I guess we’ll see what happens for Saturday morning qualifying now.

“We may just go off of the practice times from Friday depending on the rain situation. I’m very pleased with the car and the PF Racing has done a great job.”

The No. 14 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 of James Sofronas completed the top-five overall in Practice 2.

Drew Stavely, meanwhile, was quickest of the GTSA competitors in the session in his No. 12 Ian Lacy Motorsports Ginetta G55 GT4.

Qualifying for the first 50-minute GTS race of the weekend is set for 10:40 a.m. ET.
