Esses Racing and GMG Racing will make their returns to Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competition, while TR3 Racing has added a second Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for this weekend’s rounds at Road America.
The 19-car entry for Rounds 9 and 10 of the season marks the largest field of the year, thanks to the returning and expanded efforts in the SRO America-run championship.
Adam Carroll and Will Hardeman, who last contested the Circuit of The Americas event in their Mercedes, will be part of the expanded 12-car Pro-Am field, which includes a Type-991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 R for GMG’s Jeroen Bleekemolen and Kyle Washington.
Washington was due to receive his new Type-992 Porsche earlier this summer but will put his trusted previous-generation car into action at the four-mile Wisconsin circuit.
TR3, which will see Ziad Ghandour return to the team’s season-long No. 9 Mercedes, meanwhile, has added a second car for Paul Kiebler and Jon Branam, which will run as the solo Am class entry.
Another lineup changes since the most recent round at Virginia International Raceway is Madison Snow in the No. 45 Wright Motorsports Porsche, in place of Charlie Luck, while the continuation of Valentin Hasse-Clot and Neil Verhagen at TRG and ST Racing, respectively.
Two test sessions unofficially kicks off track activities on Thursday, followed by practice on Friday and qualifying Saturday morning, ahead of the first 90-minute race of the weekend at 3:10 p.m. CDT on Saturday.
The second race is set for a 2:15 p.m. start on Sunday, with both races to be streamed on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
