Paul Holton will continue for a second season in Pirelli World Challenge, as the 17-year-old Floridian will move up from TCB to GTS in 2015.
Holton will compete with the Justin Bellinzoni-led Rennsport One team in seven races in one of the team’s Porsche Cayman S cars, starting with the season opener at Circuit of the Americas.
This entry joins GTSport Racing’s two-car lineup as confirmed Caymans for GTS next season.
“The Cayman platform has proven very competitive in the past few seasons of Pirelli World Challenge,” Holton said. “I am only able to compete in seven events in 2015 because of my commitment to another team in another series, so every race we plan to be fully challenging for the win.”
The aforementioned other team is Compass360 Racing, where Holton and Kyle Gimple will run one of the team’s new Audi S3s for the entire Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season in ST.
Holton finished fourth as a rookie in TCB in 2014, winning one race and scoring six top-five finishes. He also made a one-off CTSC ST start in a Cayman at Road America last year with Rebel Rock Racing.
