Entries from the likes of Team WRT and GruppeM Racing headline a 25-car grid for the Indianapolis 8 Hour, the final round of both the Intercontinental GT Challenge and Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS seasons.

Released on Friday, the entry list, listing teams only, features representation from six manufacturers: Acura, BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Porsche and Mercedes-AMG.

In total, four out of the 25 cars are IGTC Pro entries, with a further five Fanatec GT America Pro cars and the remaining 16 cars entered into the Pro-Am category.

BMW and Mercedes-AMG field two IGTC Pro cars each, with the latter represented by Lone Star Racing and GruppeM Racing.

Team WRT, meanwhile, is set to defend its Indy 8 Hour crown with a pair of BMW M4 GT3s

As previously reported by Sportscar365, Porsche will not have any factory-supported entries for the event despite leading the IGTC manufacturers’ standings.

Instead, it will be represented by Fanatec GT America regulars Wright Motorsports, RS1, Montreal Motorsports Group, GMG Racing as well as further Pro-Am entries from Herberth Motorsport, Car Collection Motorsport and Earl Bamber Motorsport.

Wright currently leads Fanatec GT America’s Pro standings with a lead of seven points over the No. 63 DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, which is present on the grid along with its No. 64 sister car in Pro-Am.

The other Fanatec GT America Pro entries come from BMW squads ST Racing and Random Vandals Racing as well as the lone Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 on the grid entered by Racers Edge Motorsports.

Elsewhere in the Pro-Am class, SunEnergy1 Racing is set for its first IGTC appearance since its podium finish in February’s Bathurst 12 Hour and is joined by Triple Eight JMR, Regulator Racing and Chouest Povoledo Racing in representing Mercedes-AMG.

The rest of the Pro-Am ranks consist of three BMWs for Flying Lizard Motorsports, ST Racing and Turner Motorsport as well as a pair of AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3s.

The Indianapolis 8 Hour will take place on Oct. 3-6.
