D’station Racing has revealed plans to enter two brand-new updated Aston Martin Vantage GT3s in the 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS.

The Japanese squad will enter a newly-purchased car each in the main six-round series and the Japan Cup, which features on the bill for three rounds of the main championship, as well as a standalone round at Sportsland Sugo.

This comes up on top of the team’s already-announced plans to contest the FIA World Endurance Championship and SUPER GT in 2024.

D’station managing director Tomonobu Fujii, who drove the updated Aston at Silverstone in October, and Satoshi Hoshino will enter the full GT World Challenge Asia series for the first time after two seasons of contesting the Japan Cup only.

Hoshino’s brother Tatsuya and Kenji Hama will campaign the Japan Cup-only entry after appearing in the standalone GT4 event held at last year’s Okayama round.

“I am very happy to announce our entry for the 2024 season of GT World Challenge Asia and Japan Cup,” said Fujii.

“The series boasts the largest car count of any GT3 championship in Asia, while the large number of teams receiving factory drivers and technical support from Europe makes it the most competitive GT3 championship in Asia.

“We will enter both series with the latest specification of Aston Martin GT3 car, and we will be fully prepared to fight for the championship.”

Fujii added that D’station is “looking at several options” to maintain a presence in the GT4 ranks, which is now limited to only the Japan Cup following the decision to restrict the main GT World Challenge Asia series to GT3 cars only.

This could involve running a car on behalf of customers either in Japan or Asia, as the GT4 element of the Japan Cup is now open to all Asian license holders.
