Aston Martin outfit Beechdean AMR will embark on its first international program since 2019 this year with a two-car entry in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

The five-time British GT Championship title-winning team is set for its first GTWC Europe outing since entering the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa in 2014.

Team principal Andrew Howard is the first confirmed driver for the operation, although classes have not yet been specified with the full driver lineup yet to be announced.

Howard raced in British GT last year, sharing a Beechdean-backed Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with factory driver Jonny Adam.

The team has focused on domestic racing since the COVID-19 pandemic started two years ago but will now take part in its first overseas program since the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup.

GT4 champions Valentin Hasse-Clot and Theo Nouet are currently driving for Beechdean AMR during the official GTWC Europe pre-season test at Paul Ricard.

“It’s fantastic to be able to announce our return to international motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe,” Howard said.

“It’s the first time we’ll have run a pair of GT3 cars internationally and we’re certainly aiming to be competitive from the get-go.

“We’ve been front-runners in every series we’ve ever raced in and we’re serious about success. When we announce full details of the programme later this month, it will be very clear how serious we are about achieving it.”
