The verdict on GRT’s appeal against the exclusion of the No. 19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 from the Blancpain Endurance Series opener at Monza has been postponed.
The brand-new Lamborghini GT3 racer crossed the line in first position at its debut in Italy on April 12, but was later excluded from the event after it failed post-race inspection.
Stewards of the meeting deemed the refueling restrictor used on the car did not conform to the regulations.
Gottfried Grasser’s team appealed against the exclusion immediately, claiming they have good arguments to overturn the decision.
The hearing took place in Brussels earlier this week, but following the statements of the parties involved, the commission was unable to reach a verdict.
The decision was therefore postponed for another ten days, meaning the Monza results remain provisional heading into this weekend’s Silverstone round.
“We will have to be patient a little longer,” said Team Principal Grasser. “However, we are confident that the RACB will make the right decision and expect it to be in our favor.”
