After years of competing in the Pro-Am Cup of the Blancpain Endurance Series, Nissan will step up to the top class of Europe’s biggest GT championship.

Nissan GT Academy Team RJN will field the recently homologated 2015 spec Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 in the Pro Cup to fight for the overall honors.

For this first venture into the top class of the series, the Japanese brand has selected Alex Buncombe, Katsumasa Chiyo and Wolfgang Reip to take on the likes of WRT Audi, HTP Bentley.

The same trio was originally planned to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour last weekend, with Florian Strauss replacing Buncombe at the very last minute, and already boasts a lot of experience in the endurance series.
