GMB Motorsport has revealed an all-Danish lineup for its maiden Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season with Aston Martin.

The Danish squad, which competed in the European Le Mans Series with the British marque last year, will field a single Aston Martin Vantage GT3 across both the Sprint and Endurance Cup campaigns.

Cousins Gustav and Simon Birch will line up for the full season across both championship, while Kasper H. Jensen joins them for the Endurance Cup races.

Gustav Birch formed part of GMB’s driving crew in ELMS last year, while Simon shared a Honda NSX GT3 Evo22 with Thomas Andersen in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

Jensen, meanwhile, has won multiple successive TCR titles in his native Denmark and spearheaded GMB’s successful 2022 title bid in Le Mans Cup. He will also act as a driver coach for his two younger teammates throughout the season.

“There was never any doubt about who we wanted to man the car, and I am extremely satisfied that we succeeded with that plan,” said team boss Henrik Lundgaard.

“We have two lightning fast and not least hungry young talents in Simon and Gustav, and with the addition of Kasper’s experience and winning mentality, I think we have found an almost complete crew.

“Now we are just really looking forward to getting some heat in the tyres and getting started with the final preparations for the season.”
