IMSA Performance confirmed it will enter a new Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this year.

Double 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner and French GT champion Raymond Narac will team up with last year’s Porsche Carrera Cup France winner Maxime Jousse and Thierry Cornac.

Cornac is the least experienced of the trio, making the switch from the French VdeV series.

The car will be entered in the Pro-Am Cup and is so far only the second new Porsche 911 GT3 R confirmed in the Endurance Cup.

“Our team is very balanced and will be very competitive. At IMSA Performance, we always have big ambitions but we will have to discover the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this season,” said team manager Franck Rava.

“The are a lot of strong competitors and we will also face a lot of unknowns.”

The team no longer features title sponsorship from Matmut, a French insurance company.
