Dries Vanthoor and Frederic Vervisch have given Belgian Audi Club Team WRT a clean sweep of qualifying for Sunday’s pair of Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup races at Brands Hatch.

Vanthoor posted a best time of 1:23.931 in the first session to put his No. 2 Audi on pole for Race 1 while Vervisch’s 1:23.460 gave the No. 17 WRT entry Race 2 pole.

Steijn Schothorst will start the first race from second in his No. 66 Attempto Racing Audi while Raffaele Marciello will line up second in Race 2 in his AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Marciello had been at the top of the timesheets for much of his session after a strong performance from co-driver Michael Meadows who qualified the No. 88 Mercedes in third for the opening race.

Alex Riberas and Christian Engelhart will start fourth and fifth in Race 1 while Christopher Mies, Mirko Bortolotti and Kelvin van der Linde complete the top five for Race 2.

Nico Bastian and Jack Manchester made sure AKKA ASP Mercedes will start from the front of the Silver Cup field in both races, while Piti Bhirombhakdi and Markus Winkelhock secured Pro-Am poles.

Several front-running cars are under investigation for pit stop infringements which could still change the qualifying orders.

Race 1 will take place at 12 p.m. local time on Sunday and will be streamed live on the series’ website and GT World YouTube channel.
