News and notes including Team GT’s European plans, Asian LMS lineups and more…

***Team GT is looking to enter select Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup races next year for what would be its series debut. The German squad has also confirmed its return to International GT Open. Alain Valente and Florian Scholze will share Team GT’s first announced Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the GT Sport-run championship.

***Team GT owner Bernhard Laber said: “Our goal is to win the Pro-Am class in the International GT Open with Alain and Florian. But we also want to get a taste of the GT World Challenge Europe [and] continue to keep a close eye on the development of the DTM and the DTM Endurance.”

***Matt Bell and Tony Wells will pair up for Nielsen Racing’s LMP3 entry into the Asian Le Mans Series. Nielsen regular Wells won the 2019-20 Asian LMS class title alongside Colin Noble. Reigning LMP2 champion Bell and Wells previously shared a United Autosports Ligier JS P2 Nissan in the 2018 European Le Mans Series.

***RLR MSport has also announced its LMP3 crew for Asian LMS. 20-year-old American Bijoy Garg will make his sports car racing debut in the British team’s Ligier alongside Amir Feyzulin and Andres Latorre.

***Kennol Racing Team will continue to run its Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R in the Ultimate Cup Series next year. The French squad, which is backed by oils and fluids company Kennol, is set to race in the Endurance GT Touring Challenge competition.

***February’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour event will include parade laps from a Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car, supplied by the reigning world championship-winning team. The driver of the RB7 from 2011 will be confirmed later. Red Bull Racing will also display the car in the paddock.

***Czech constructor Praga has relocated to the United Arab Emirates for three months for the launch of the Bohema road-legal, track-focused hypercar. Praga and the local Dragon Racing team held test drives with prospective customers at Yas Marina Circuit during a Curbstone Events track day, as well as presentations in Dubai. The Praga Bohema will be sold in 89 units at £1.28 million ($1.54 million USD) each.

***JOTA has received three Porsche 963 show cars ahead of its Hypercar program as a customer of the German manufacturer. Team co-owner David Clark posted images of the show cars on Instagram with the caption “can’t wait for the real one next year”.
