Trent Hindman and Come Ledogar will complete Michael Shank Racing’s lineup for next month’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona in the team’s two-car Acura NSX GT3 lineup.

Former McLaren GT factory driver Ledogar will join full-season drivers Lawson Aschenbach and Justin Marks, plus Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup driver Mario Farnbacher in the No. 93 Acura, with reigning Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America champion Hindman in the No. 86 car alongside Alvaro Parete, Katherine Legge and A.J. Allmendinger.

It will mark Ledogar’s WeatherTech Championship debut, after winning the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup title in 2016 with McLaren.

“Driving with MSR means a new challenge for me but with a very experienced team with one of the best reputations in the paddock,” Ledogar said.

“I think the Acura NSX GT3 will suit me well since it is a brand new mid-engine car; which is the same set up that I have been driving the previous two years.”

Hindman, meanwhile, is confirmed for all four Patron Endurance Cup races in the No. 86 car.

“Michael Shank Racing is one of the elite teams in IMSA so it was an honor to be presented with this opportunity,” he said. “Running with Mike and the Acura NSX GT3 is really a chance that I think all drivers in general, not just younger guys like myself, would immediately jump into without any hesitation.”

While this is good news for Hindman to have a seat for the 24, I’m disappointed that he hasn’t found a full season drive based on what he had done to date.
