Vautier Crashes Out; Race Tightens in Hour 11

Tristan Vautier’s heavy crash brought out the tenth caution at Sebring…

A heavy accident for pole-sitter Tristan Vautier in Turn 17 has eliminated the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R with under two hours remaining in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Vautier made significant contact on the exit of the final corner that spent the Cadillac DPi spinning around and dislodged large portions of the tire barrier. Vautier exited the car under his own power.

Tom Dyer had to take evasive action down pit lane in the No. 69 HART Acura NSX GT3 but picked up debris, including the front splitter from the Cadillac DPi.

Spencer Pigot currently leads overall under the yellow in the No. 55 Mazda RT24-P but is on a different pit sequence than the rest of the Prototype front runners and appears to be dragging some debris from the incident.

Pipo Derani and Felipe Nasr are second and third for Tequila Patron ESM and Action Express Racing, respectively.

The No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR of Nick Tandy leads in GT Le Mans from the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE of Alessandro Pier Guidi.

Meanwhile it’s Bryan Sellers leading in GT Daytona in the No. 48 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for Paul Miller Racing followed by Christopher Mies in the No. 29 Land Motorsport Audi R8 LMS.
