Ricky Taylor will make his return to the FIA World Endurance Championship, beginning with September’s inaugural AT&T Six Hours of Mexico, at Larbre Competition.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship star will join Yutaka Yamagishi and Pierre Ragues in the French squad’s GTE-Am class Corvette C7.R for the Sept. 1-3 event at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
It is the first of a multi-race program for Taylor in the second half of the WEC season that will also include rounds at Circuit of The Americas and Fuji Speedway.
“I’m really looking forward to being back in a Corvette GT car again with Larbre,” Taylor told Sportscar365.
“They were the first team to give me an opportunity at Le Mans and we have made some good memories together.
“The package looks very competitive this season, and I’m excited to get to work with Pierre again. I was able to meet Yutaka at Le Mans this year and hopefully the three of us can make a strong team for the Six Hours.”
Taylor has two previous starts with the Jack Leconte-led team, both at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013 (Corvette) and 2014 (Morgan LMP2), while also having driven for Corvette Racing in the WEC race at COTA in 2014.
The preliminary entry list for the Mexico City round, meanwhile, has been released, featuring 34 cars with the addition of the Greaves Motorsport Gibson 015S Nissan for Roberto Gonzalez, Bruno Junqueira and Luis Diaz.
