Lazarus Tops Free Practice at Paul Ricard

Daiko Lazarus Racing started the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup weekend on top by going fastest in Friday morning’s Free Practice session at Circuit Paul Ricard.

Fabrizio Crestani posted the best time of the session with a 1:55.300 in the No. 27 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 which runs in the Pro-Am Cup.

He shares the car with Giuseppe Cipriani and Miguel Ramos. 

SMP Racing’s Davide Rigon was second-quickest in the No. 72 AF Corse-run Ferrari 488 GT3 while Franck Perera made it two Lamborghinis in the top three for Grasser Racing Team.

AKKA ASP was the fastest Silver Cup team with its No. 90 Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Nico Bastian while the quickest Am driver was Chris Goodwin in the Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3.

The 90-minute session had a brief full course yellow period after the No. 31 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 stopped at Turn 7.

Pre-Qualifying will get underway at 3.40 p.m. local time.
