Reigning Renault Sport Trophy champion Pieter Schothorst has been drafted in to replace Dean Stoneman at Strakka Racing for next weekend’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.

The Dutchman will parter Jazeman Jafaar and Andrew Watson in the No. 59 McLaren 650S GT3 for the Belgian endurance classic and his first race in the McLaren.

He competed with Belgian Audi Club Team WRT for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup rounds so far this season, as well as the recent six-hour Paul Ricard Endurance Cup race.

His space had been filled by Connor de Filippi for Spa however, leaving him without a drive.

It is unclear why Stoneman has left the team or if he will return later in the season.
