Kevin Estre improved on his pace-setting form in opening practice to go even quicker in the second session of the weekend at Virginia International Raceway.

Estre reeled off a best lap of 1:40.838 in the Proton Competition-run WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19 to outpace the two Chevrolet Corvette C8.Rs by nearly four-tenths.

Tommy Milner’s 1:41.200 lap was Corvette’s best, in the No. 4 entry he shares with Nick Tandy, while Jordan Taylor posted the third quickest time overall and in class.

The 1 hour and 15-minute session started under damp and near-full wet conditions before quickly drying out, resulting in no teams going to wet-weather Michelin tires.

GT Daytona was led by the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Racing Lexus RC F GT3 of Jack Hawksworth, thanks to a 1:44.407 lap time.

It was 0.086 seconds quicker than the No. 23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Ross Gunn, with the sister entry of Alex Riberas jumping to third on the time charts.

Zach Veach in the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus and the recovering No. 1 Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Bryan Sellers completed the top-five in class.

Qualifying is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. ET.
