Josh Burdon will complete Andretti Autosport’s lineup for next month’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans.
The Silver-rated Australian will join full season drivers Jarett Andretti and Oliver Askew at the wheel of the team’s Ligier JS P20 Nissan LMP3 class entry for the ten-hour enduro at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to be driving for such an iconic team as Andretti, and after quite a lot of discussion with Jarett and the team I feel very motivated and excited by their program,” said Burdon.
Burdon, who races with KCMG in the GT3 ranks, takes the place of Marco Andretti, who drove for the team at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and was expected to be back behind the wheel of the car for the final round of the Michelin Endurance Cup.
A reason for Marco’s absence has not been made clear.
“This season has brought a lot of growth to our team, and I am thrilled to have Josh on board for Petit LeMans,” said Jarett Andretti.
