Ford NASCAR Stars in PF Racing Mustang GT4s for Daytona

NASCAR drivers Chase Briscoe, Hailie Deegan, Harrison Burton and Austin Cindric are set to take part in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season opener at Daytona International Speedway at the wheel of PF Racing-run Ford Mustang GT4s.

It will mark the Ford Performance-backed program’s return for the first time since 2020 and debut with the Missouri-based Ford customer team.

Confirmed by Ford Performance on social media, the quartet will make up two-thirds of PF’s planned three-car effort in the BMW M Endurance Challenge.

Briscoe and Deegan, who will share driving duties of the No. 41 Mustang, took part in the Daytona race in 2020 with Multimatic Motorsports, with Deegan having also entered the round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Cindric was also part of Multimatic’s effort at Daytona in 2020, while Burton, the son of NASCAR veteran Jeff, will be making his debut as part of Ford’s Pilot Challenge program in the No. 42 entry alongside Cindric.

Briscoe, Burton and Cindric compete in the NASCAR Cup Series while Deegan will return to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition this year.

Cindric is set to pull double duty during the race weekend, having also been confirmed in the GTD Pro class No. 15 WeatherTech Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Ford has not confirmed any additional races beyond the four-hour Daytona season-opener.

All three cars are on the pre-event entry list for next weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 pre-season test, with James Pesek so far the only confirmed driver in the No. 40 entry.
