Mark Griffith has become the latest Mercedes-AMG entrant to commit to the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour with a Pro-Am entry involving two drivers from the Supercars ranks.

Griffith has obtained the services of Supercars Championship full-timer Will Brown and his Bathurst 1000 co-driver Jack Perkins for the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season-opener next weekend.

Their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo will be supported by Daimler Trucks Australia.

Griffith contested the most recent Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020 sharing a Mercedes-AMG GT4 with Dirk Mueller and Harrison Newey.

In 2019 he tackled the race in a GT3-spec Mercedes alongside Yelmer Buurman and Christina Nielsen, finishing 13th overall and fifth in the Pro-Am division.

Brown, who earned his first career Supercars win at Sydney Motorsport Park last year, has previously driven for the MARC Cars Australia team in the Invitational class at Bathurst, while Perkins has contested the race in touring car machinery but never in GTs.

“This is going to be great fun with two guys I’ve known for a long time,” Griffith said.

“Jack raced the Ginetta’s with me back in the day, and Will has driven just about everything from the slowest car to the fastest.

“He’s raced in my product in cars and even drove my daughter’s Toyota Yaris in endurance races. To get them both in the Mercedes will be great fun.

“I’ve been a bit of a helper of both those guys and supported them with bits and pieces over the years, but they’ve helped me too.

“This is a chance to repay what they’ve done with me and give them a crack at the 12-Hour in a good car.”

Other Mercedes-AMG entrants set for the Bathurst 12 Hour include Craft-Bamboo Racing, Triple Eight Race Engineering, SunEnergy1 Racing with Triple Eight support and Valmont Racing.
