Earl Bamber Motorsport will enter the FIA GT World Cup in Macau with a single-car Porsche effort, spearheaded by owner-driver Earl Bamber.
The current Cadillac Hypercar driver will step behind the wheel of the No. 22 Porsche 911 GT3 R for the race at the Guia Circuit, which returns FIA status for the first time since 2019 next month.
EBM is the first Porsche stable that has confirmed its presence at the event, which has attracted significant interest from teams aligned to the German manufacturer.
Sportscar365 understands that Porsche, through its subsidiary Porsche Motorsport Asia-Pacific, is set to be present with as many as six cars with factory driver talent.
Bamber finished third aboard a Type-991.2 Porsche as part of the brand’s last venture to the event in 2019, joining Raffaele Marciello and teammate Laurens Vanthoor on the podium.
It remains the New Zealander’s best finish at Macau. He recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes in both 2016 and 2018 and came seventh in 2015, all in a Porsche.
