SRO America has confirmed the final two venues on its 2026 schedule, with Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta joining in place of Virginia International Raceway, along with a return to Road America.

Announced on Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s event at Road America, all of SRO America’s series, including its flagship GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship, are set to race at at the 2.54-mile Georgia circuit, on June 12-14, the same weekend as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The date was previously known when SRO America unveiled its provisional 2026 schedule at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, although it is expected to cause issues with a limited number of drivers and team staff, as well as media, that typically also participate or cover the French endurance classic.

Road Atlanta becomes the second IMSA-owned or operated facility to join the SRO America schedule, following Sebring International Raceway that debuted in 2021.

“The addition of Road Atlanta marks a new chapter for the series in 2026, bringing the championship to one of the country’s most storied road courses for the first time since 2011,” a statement from SRO America read.

“Road America, a longtime fan favorite, remains on the calendar but will now take place at the end of August, a couple of weeks later than its traditional slot.”

As previously announced, GTWC America events will turn into single three-hour races for all rounds except the Indianapolis 8 Hour.
