Cadillac driver Louis Deletraz will join the Hertz Team JOTA lineup for the first time for the Spa FIA World Endurance Championship round next weekend when he deputizes for Alex Lynn, who is recovering from neck treatment.
Deletraz has been a regular at the wheel of a Cadillac V-Series.R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Wayne Taylor Racing squad for the past two seasons — scoring a best finish of second — but will now race one of the LMDh-based prototypes in the WEC for the first time on May 9.
It will also be his first appearance in the WEC outside of one-off 24 Hours of Le Mans appearances since he won the LMP2 title in 2023 with Team WRT.
Deletraz will share the No. 12 Cadillac with Will Stevens and Norman Nato at Spa as the squad returns to running three drivers per car after Lynn’s withdrawal from the Imola opener.
The Briton is due to be back behind the wheel for Le Mans in June, when Deletraz is again scheduled to pilot the AO by TF Oreca 07 Gibson.
However, with Lynn having been linked to a potential McLaren move for 2027, the possibility remains that Deletraz could also be kept on for the French classic.
The sister No. 38 Cadillac is also due to return to featuring three drivers in Belgium after a clashing WeatherTech Championship round prevented Jack Aitken from joining Sebastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber at Imola.
