The No. 51 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO, which charged from tenth to the lead in the opening stint with Philipp Eng at the wheel, was sent to the garage with a reported throttle body issue.
Moments later, the Pro-Am class-leading No. 11 DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Alec Udell was unable to re-fire his car during a routine pit stop, sending that car also behind the wall with a suspected electrical issue.
The significant setbacks continued as the No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Adam Adelson made contact with the No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of George Kurtz, resulting in left-front toe-link damage for Adelson’s Pro class entry.
