BMW Team WRT has taken the wraps off the liveries for its pair of new-look BMW M Hybrid V8s that will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship this year.

Unveiled on Tuesday ahead of this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24, the Nos. 24 and 25 GTP class entries feature updated “Inception Design” liveries that will be applied across all of BMW’s LMDh cars this year.

It includes ‘Gen M’ graphics that were previously only seen on BMW’s factory supported M4 GT3 EVOs in GT3 competition worldwide.

The German manufacturer previously ran a special 50 Years of BMW North America design on its two Rahal Letterman Lanigan-operated GTP entries that debuted at last year’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and ended up being used for the balance of the season.

Dries Vanthoor and Sheldon van der Linde will team up for a full-season campaign in the No. 24 car, with Robin Frijns and Rene Rast completing the lineup for Daytona.

The No. 25 entry, meanwhile, will be in the hands of Philipp Eng and Marco Wittmann for the nine-race GTP campaign and Kevin Magnussen and Raffaele Marciello in for the season opener.

Daytona will mark the Belgian squad’s first race campaigning the Dallara-chassied LMDh cars in the WeatherTech Championship, having taken over from longtime BMW North America partner RLL.

The Bobby Rahal co-owned team has since switched to the GTD Pro ranks and will field a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo this season.
