X09 Racing has announced plans to field four entries in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America this year.
The Channahon, Ill.-based team was founded by Tadas Karlinskas and Darius Trinka, who finished runner-up in the Pro-Am class standings last year after driving for a variety of teams over the course of their maiden campaign.
This year’s program is understood to be run entirely in-house, marking a new chapter for the Lithuanian cousins.
While Trinka will continue behind the wheel this year, he’ll be joined by Dominic Starkweather in a Pro class entry.
Two-time and reigning LB Cup champion Nick Groat makes the moves from One Motorsport and steps up to the Am class in his solo-driven No. 57 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2.
Groat will be joined on the Am class grid by Anthony Bullock in the team’s No. 12 entry, while X09’s designated Pro-Am car will feature a driving pairing that’s yet to be announced.
The team has partnered with Lamborghini Chicago and Lamborghini Downers Grove for the expansive campaign.
“Lamborghini is not just a brand; it’s an institution,” said Trinka. “The level of professionalism, passion, and attention to detail within the organization is unmatched.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to be working alongside some of the best in the business, and it motivates us to constantly strive for excellence.
“When we look at where we are now, it’s almost surreal. There were moments when we didn’t know if this was possible.
“But here we are, racing Lamborghinis, leading a full team. It’s a dream we’re living every day.”
The Super Trofeo season kicks off at Sebring International Raceway later this month as part of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend.
