24H Spa Prologue Moves Closer to Race Date

The two-day Prologue for next year’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will be held much closer to the event than in the past.

Race organizer SRO Motorsports Group has revealed that the pre-event test will run on June 15-16 next year, which is just over a week before practice is due to begin for the June 26-27 race.

That contrasts to this year, when the Prologue was held on May 19-20, which was over a month before the race weekend itself.

SRO also confirmed there are no planned changes to the provisional 2027 GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS calendar it revealed earlier this year, of which the 24H Spa is the blue-riband event, in addition to giving details about the pre-season Prologue.

This will again be held at Paul Ricard on Apr. 13-14, in the days leading up to the Endurance Cup curtain-raiser at the French circuit, but has been extended to include two full days of track action, rather than the one-and-a-half days of recent years.

A bespoke GT4 European Series Prologue will also be held for the first time, on the day after the GTWC Europe equivalent.
