Mazda has topped the time charts again at Road America, with Jonathan Bomarito leading the way in final practice prior to qualifying for Sunday’s Continental Tire Road Race Showcase.

Bomarito laid down a best lap of 1:55.021 in the 60-minute session to edge out the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP of Jordan Taylor by 0.414 seconds.

Friday’s pace-setter Ozz Negri made a late improvement to third in class, thanks to a 1:55.746 in his No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 Honda.

Renger van der Zande (Prototype Challenge), Antonio Garcia (GTLM) abd Bryan Sellers (GTD) led their respective classes.

There were two red flags during the session, the first for debris from contact between the No. 73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Patrick Lindsey and Sven Mueller’s No. 22 Alex Job Racing Porsche.

Colin Braun’s No. 54 CORE autosport Oreca FLM09, meanwhile, came to a halt on track in Turn 12 to bring out a second red.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 2:50 p.m. local time.
