The entry list for next weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona has been released, with 39 cars slated to take part in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opener.
It is down by one entry from the Roar Before the Rolex 24, due to the expected withdrawal of the second PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson in LMP2, which will feature a six-car class as a result.
No major changes have been made in terms of drivers since the official pre-season test and subsequent announcements, with Rick Ware Racing still yet to name its two replacement drivers for James Davison and Mark Kvamme.
Two seats also remain open in the No. 47 Precision Performance Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo alongside Brandon Gdovic and Eric Lux, who both tested the car that is planned as a full-season GT Daytona entry.
Aston Martin Racing has also yet to name Paul Dalla Lana’s replacement in the No. 98 Aston Martin Vantage GT3, following the Canadian’s skiing accident that has ruled him out of the race.
Teams have until Friday to officially nominate driver changes, with on-track action beginning Thurs. Jan 23.
