The SRO E-Sport GT Series winner-takes-all Assetto Corsa Competizione finale will take place at Suzuka this weekend.

Suzuka will decide the virtual competition’s overall champion as 33 cars take to the track featuring drivers from the Pro, Silver, and Am Series which each ran to five rounds.

The grand final closes out SRO Motorsports Group’s esports contest that was launched in April as a way of responding to the widespread cancelation of real-world motorsport events during the coronavirus pandemic.

Five Pro series drivers are entered in the finale at the Japanese circuit as Kyalami winner Luigi di Lorenzo, David Perel, Andy Soucek, Ezequiel Perez Companc and Romain Monti are set to take to the track.

Am series drivers qualified for the event via a public hot lap competition, of which there are eight entries, while Silver esports competitors fill the remainder of the 33-car grid.

The race is scheduled to get underway on Sunday at 9 p.m. CET  (3 p.m. ET) and will be a two-hour contest with a mandatory pit stop.

The race can be streamed on the GT World YouTube channel.
