Rebellion Tops Wednesday Test at Road Atlanta

Rebellion Racing continued to lead the way at Road Atlanta, as American Le Mans Series teams prepare for Saturday’s series-ending Petit Le Mans.

Nico Prost took the No. 12 Lola B12/60 Toyota to a best time of 1:09.942 in Wednesday’s two-hour test session. The Frenchman was 0.812 seconds quicker than the No. 6 Muscle Milk Pickett Racing HPD ARX-03c, which was second on the time sheets.

The No. 551 Level 5 Motorsports HPD ARX-03b of Ryan Briscoe was quickest in P2 and third overall, thanks to a 1:12.770 lap time by the Australian.

Dyson Racing’s P1-class Lola B12/60 Mazda was fourth overall on the time sheets, followed by the No. 01 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b, which sees the return of David Brabham this weekend.

BMW Team RLL topped the GT class with its No. 56 BMW Z4 GTE. The entry, driven this weekend by Dirk Mueller, John Edwards and Bill Auberlen, edged out the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari F458 Italia by 0.167 seconds.

The No. 91 SRT Motorsports Viper GTS-R was third on the time sheets in class.

8Star Motorsports topped the Prototype Challenge class, thanks to an impressive 1:16.1.31 lap time by Sean Rayhall, who along with the team, are making their ALMS debut.

GTC was led by the No. 22 Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car of Jeroen Bleekemolen with a 1:24.780 lap time.

Three practice sessions are on tap for Thursday, beginning at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
