Christmas has come early for C360R, as the team has taken delivery of its first McLaren 570S GT4 that it will debut in next year’s IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

The longtime IMSA squad announced last week that it will field a pair of mid-engined sports cars in the series, kicking off with the four-hour enduro at Daytona next month, which will open the 2017 season.

Matt Plumb, Paul Holton, Mathew Keegan and Nico Rondet are the four confirmed drivers.

The Karl Thomson-led squad will be at least one of two teams running McLarens in Continental Tire Challenge next year, with Automatic Racing set to enter a single 570S GT4 and additional teams understood to be in negotiations.

As many as a dozen full-season entries are expected for the new-look GS class, which adopts SRO GT4 regulations.
