The No. 23 Notlad by RS1 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Stevan McAleer and Patrick Gallagher has lost its runner-up finish in Sunday’s Virginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix at VIR due to failing post-race technical inspection.

Per IMSA, the car failed a post-race fuel capacity audit and has been placed to the rear of the GS class finishing order.

The seventh-place finishing No. 93 CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 was also found to be in the same violation.

Both cars completed the last 1 hour and 16 minutes of the race on a single tank of fuel.

It has promoted the No. 7 VOLT Racing by Archangel Aston Martin of Trent Hindman and Alan Brynjolfsson to second and has also put the No. 95 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 of Bill Auberlen and Dillon Machavern on the podium.

The Turner duo provisionally extend their lead in the GS championship to 30 points instead of the initial 10-point margin over race winner Jan Heylen.
